Setup POP3 using Outlook 2007

Below shows you how to setup your POP3 email account using Outlook 2007.

1. Open Outlook 2007.

2. On the top menu click Tools > Account Settings...

   

3. The Account Settings window will open. Click New...

   

4. Ensure Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP is checked. Click Next >

   

5. Enter your POP3 account details. Then click Next >

   

6. Outlook will try and establish a network connection using your details.

   

7. If your details have been successfully found you will see this window. Click Finish.

   

8. You should be returned to the Account Settings window with your new account showing.

9. Double click on your new account in the Account Settings window. Then click More Settings...

10. In the Outgoing Server tab ensure the My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication is ticked and Use same settings as my incoming mail server is checked.

    
11. That's it, all done!
